Fuck the capitalists - a rant.
A friend of mine once told me, “At some point the internet will be declared a failed experiment.”
Here is a truth; I like to see and read erotic material - it is a choice - and friends of mine do too - it’s a commonality.
Here is another truth; I do not like being asked if I have a Rewards Card when I buy a pack of gum. Why does every purchase of even the most insignificant item, require tracking and my relinquishing my right to privacy?
I use two social media platforms, Tumblr and Facebook (I have twitter account I seldom use, and I use Instagram, but only as an extension of FB,) and I have to think, the end of the usable internet is almost here.
Facebook, is a data-mining company, that offers social media interaction as a means broadening data points.
Tumblr, until recently has been an open, micro-blogging platform - now they are Apple’s bitch.
Apple has always been Big Brother in a skinny jeans and black turtleneck - Apple is not our friend, even though they made cool shit in miserable factories.
Over the period of this “revolution,” magazines, newspapers, and brick and mortar stores have closed.
The cost has been privacy - we have none.
Tumblr connected us - now they are censoring us to appease Apple.
We have allowed Amazon take over retail - we got instant gratification and limitless choice…and now they are actively replacing humans with robots, AIs, and drones.
And to boot! We have Trump, and industry lobbyists heading up the watchdog agencies.
The internet and the 24 hour cable news networks have enabled the Age of the Capitalist.
We are sheep and I do not know how we make it out of this.
That’s it.

bwwhitney said: Radio - television - internet. We have been sheep for a very long time. Radio and TV were never “free”. The programs we listed to and watched were actually only there to provide an audience for the commercials.
